Choo Choo

I saw a 3d modeling book at Fry's the other day that had a train on the cover that was exactly the same model as this one. So this train is now useless to me. That's lame. It must be an incredibly unorigional or easy thing to do if it's part of an introduction to maya book.

Frank 3D

This is the start of making a 3d version of the old frankenstein's monster I did a while ago. It's still very early. The muscle tone is making this one take a lot longer than the previous humans I've started. It's coming along though.

Here's a little dog I just did. This is also not done yet, but I like to post all my stuff up.

...and another one

This character is , as the others, intended for my demo reel. I'm still working out the kinks, but I'm a lot happier with it than I was yesterday. :P

Animals

This is a series of illustrations that I was working on for the san diego zoo's website. I had been doing stuff for the kids section on and off for about 3 years, most of the work never being posted. With these drawings, they wanted me to update some illustrations I had done in 2004. The project quickly fizzled out. It's too bad, though, because I think these are much better than the original ones and I would prefer to have my name on these drawings than the old ones. Such is life. But if you want to see the old ones, for whatever reason, you can go to http://www.sandiegozoo.org/kids/recipes.html and enjoy. Luke Andreen is listed on each of the illustrations along with me. He's a good friend of mine who, not only helped me land the zoo gig, but also helped to come up with some of the ideas. He even drew a few of the illustrations that are up on the zoo's website now. The ones I can think of off the top of my head are the marvelouse monkey muffins, noontime newt nuggets and the vulture vegetable bites.
